What affects how a club plays

Most wear is cosmetic. Scratches on the sole, bag chatter, and sky marks on a driver crown change how a club looks, not how it hits. What matters most is the face and grooves, especially on wedges, where worn grooves reduce spin. Putters can carry plenty of cosmetic wear and still roll perfectly, as long as the face isn't dented. Every listing includes detailed photos so you can judge for yourself.

What we can't accept for trade-in

We can't accept clubs with:

  • Cracked faces, crowns or heads
  • Bent, kinked or cracked shafts
  • Loose heads or rattles inside the head
  • Dented putter faces

Questions

Who grades the clubs?

Every club is hand-inspected and graded by a left-handed golfer.

Do you use the same grades for trade-ins and sales?

Yes. Clubs we buy are graded on exactly the same scale as clubs we sell.

What if my club arrives in a different condition than I described?

We confirm the grade when your clubs arrive. If it differs from your description, we'll update your offer before anything is finalised.
